Spring Tour March 28, 29 & 30 2008
o
There was a discussion regarding the number of
students interested in attending Spring Tour. It was mentioned that approximately
50 students had shown an interest. It is not known as of this date as to the
cost.
o
There was a discussion about status of contacting the
Santa Clara Vanguard Director. Liz Cunningham and Cindi Mundschau will
email Mr. Campos regarding this.

PPAACC April 19, 2008: Cheer Finals will be hosted at
Centennial in the Gym 9am-7pm
o
There was a discussion about the needs of the event.
o
Talons are responsible for a Hospitality Suite.
Rhonda Smith will chair this position. There is a need for Sign-up Sheets as
Talons parents will need to assist with food.
o
Talons are responsible for the Snack bar
o
Need to secure food donations
o
Snack bar will serve hamburgers, hot dogs, Frito
boats, nachos, water, soda and candy
o
Debby Moore & Lisa Wittams volunteered to shop
for the event. They also volunteered to be responsible to be in charge of the
Snack Bar.
o
Debby Moore will be responsible for securing the
propane. Jeanne Allen advised to use Melo’s Gas & Gear located at 4580
State Road. Their number is 387-6800.
o
Jeanne Allen stated that two years ago 15 cases of
water were purchased for this event.
o
We will need two individuals to bar-be-que for the
event.
o
Mr. Campos is to contact the vendors: Kettle corn,
Snowcones, etc.
o
Liz Cunningham to contact Becky Porter who is
responsible for the Cheerleaders regarding the need for parents to help.
o
In the past we have had a Color guard Booth selling
wooden plaques with a musical note and the name painted on them have been
available for purchase.
o
Jeanne Allen stated that in the past we have had a
Flower Booth.
o
Joe Cushnyr volunteered to take care of the
electrical needs for the day.
o
Mr. Campos has the Sound System under control.
o
Other issues to be addressed.

Custodians are paid by The Talons—Mr. Campos will

Debby Moore and Jeanne Allen volunteered to take care
of contacting those who are interested in being the 2008-2009 Talons Board
Members.

Talons Board Members needed are: President, Vice
President, Secretary & Treasurer
o
Newsletter and Scrip Monitor
o
Meat donations contact Skip Penner and Vera Crawford
for suggestions as to their contacts.
o Olive Garden –Cindy Mundschau
volunteered to order and pick up the food
o Need to ask Skip Penner about making
the tickets for the event.
o Ask Vera Crawford to head this up as
she has all of the documents saved on her computer. She chaired this last year
and had a fabulous system.
o Three scholarships valued at $500.00
will be awarded.
o Discussion regarding $25.00 fee charged
for white uniform pants, which were not purchased. Need to find out in writing
from each parent if they wish to receive a refund, have the money applied to
their account, etc.
