Minutes for January 2007 meeting: accepted

There was no income for January
There are still expenses for MIM coming in as well as colorguard and drumline

This was very good for this month

Old business:

Remember to look at changes to the by-laws as we will be voting at the next meeting.
We still need to send out thank you and we missed you notes to the band directors for MIM.
Mystikal Drum and Bugle Corps. Mr. Campos said the school does not want to let them stay here.
Still no money from the Coffee guy.
Spring tour: It was proposed that the tour is cut down from 3 days to 2 days to cut costs.

New business:

Fireworks booth. All agreed that it is not beneficial to continue. We signed a 2 year contract but Carry will see if we can get out of it or possibly see if Frontier would like to take it over.
We need to get an Insurance policy for a year at a time instead of only for MIM. Liz will check into that.

School Calendar shows we have a concert on March 20, however there was a conflict and the concert will be March 13 @ 7pm.
Uniforms for the Drumline: The members voted on paying the initial cost for the uniforms with the students paying it back. All agreed.
It was agreed that all instrument repairs need to be run through the talons for approval and to make sure the funds are there. All repairs should only be done on instruments being used.
Parents are concerned about making the students pay for another uniform for symphonic band. Mr. Campos said it is not going to happen and concert dress will be the normal black and white.
